Archery is a sport for all people and abilities. See our Calendar page for when club shoots are held.
Our Clubrooms and shooting grounds are located in the Adelaide Parklands, at the comer of Bundeys Road and War Memorial Drive, North Adelaide.
Beginners’ Courses
The Club runs beginners’ courses throughout the year. Dates of upcoming courses are listed on our website, here. Click on a course with dates that suit you, then proceed to online registration and payment.
These courses introduce the beginner to the safe and correct use of target archery equipment and teach you good technique. You will start shooting at 5m and by the 3rd week be shooting at 20m. You will learn all about archery equipment. You will be shooting a recurve bow, have an opportunity to shoot a longbow, and be provided a demonstration of a compound bow. You should wear a reasonably close-fitting top, enclosed shoes and be sun safe. The fee covers tuition, equipment and insurance.
They are also a way to “try before you buy” as students completing the 3-week course may apply to join any club in SA, although there is no obligation to do so.
